What To Expect
Visiting a church for the first time can be an uncomfortable experience. We want to put you at ease, and make your first visit a very pleasant one. At Cross Point, we want you to feel at home and like you are part of our family.
WHAT CAN I EXPECT ON MY FIRST VISIT?
Our service starts at 10:00 a.m., but we recommend that you come a few minutes early to get a cup of coffee, get a good seat, and check your kids into their classes. All the adults and teens will meet together for a time of worship, while the children will have a separate children’s church. Our service will last around one hour. We will have exciting music from gifted musicians and a Bible message from Pastor Joel.
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
We don’t have a dress code at Cross Point. We want you to feel welcome and comfortable with however you come dressed. The Pastor and ministry leaders will typically dress in a more traditional Sunday dress. We will have people in jeans and t-shirts, and people in suits and ties, and both will be loved and welcomed.
WILL THERE BE SOMETHING FOR MY KIDS?
We work hard to provide a positive and safe atmosphere for the kids. We teach important Biblical truth in an exciting and fun way. All of our children’s workers have gone through background checks, because we take our children’s safety very seriously. Our workers all have experience and a passion to work with the children’s ministries. Cross Point kids is for all kids 1st though 6th grade.
WILL NURSERY BE PROVIDED?
We have a nursery provided for all babies 0-2 years old and a Tiny Tots class for toddlers up to 3 years old. There is also a K4 through Kindergarten class. Even at these young ages, we take time to teach the little ones Bible truth.
AM I EXPECTED TO PARTICIPATE IN THE OFFERING?
We don’t invite you to Cross Point for your money. We want our service to be a gift to you. However, we are a member funded church, so we encourage our members, and regular attenders to give out of free-will, not out of guilt.
